Land Title Survey

The Solar Surveying team performed a boundary and limited topographic survey on an approximately three (3) acre church facility. Utilizing GPS/VRS and conventional mapping techniques to quickly and precisely collect data allowed us to deliver mapping results within a quick delivery to meet the client's schedule.

Work began by establishing controls and assigning Texas State Coordinate System, South Central Zone coordinates using County Floodplain Reference Marks. All supporting title documents were COGO sketched for the survey field crew to search, recover and locate property corners for the subject tract and adjoiners, also all improvements on the subject tract.

Once the survey data was processed, the boundary was constructed, improvements were drawn, and a complete map for a TSPS Category 1A, Condition II, Land Title Survey was created. Quality assurance and quality control was performed on the final map. The final map was stamped and signed by an RPLS and delivered to the client on schedule.

Land Acquisition Along A 7-Mile Highway

Solar Surveying was contracted to recover/establish the primary control points and existing and proposed right-of-way markers along a 7-mile long farm to market highway in Harris County, Texas, to perform boundary alignment for 45 acquisition parcels and to update the topographic / planimetric map to show all improvements on said parcels. The highway was adjoined by commercial tracts, churches, and flooded areas by waterway crossing the road.

Solar utilized GPS/VRS and conventional survey equipment to recover/establish controls and to gather boundary and topographic survey data. Solar also produced the survey control sheets in MicroStation DGN format and performed quality control and quality assurance for the entire project.

Survey for Design of Toll Road Plazas

This Harris Country project speaks to the surveying teams' expertise in performing surveys for design on multiple high traffic areas. The project involved the realization of survey for the design of the three (3) sections of a toll highway being approximately one (1) mile each, including toll road plaza facilities in each of those sections.

Horizontal and vertical survey controls were established on the three (3) sections of the route to be used for boundary and topographic surveys, aerial and terrestrial Lidar surveys on the toll road facilities.

The topographic survey included location of skybridges at grade facilities and tunnels on some of the plazas by using terrestrial Lidar equipment, and the locations of underground utilities as marked by Texas 811 and as designated by a SUE engineering company on a Quality Level “A” (Test hole/Pot holing).

Canal Drainage Improvement

The survey team's expertise in drainage projects include a project contracted for the San Jacinto River Authority for the South Canal drainage improvements.

This project required boundary and topographic surveys for several portions of the canal around different siphons, including the boundary determination of a mile long and mile wide Highlands Reservoir.

The topographic surveys include canal levee locations, canal cross-sections, siphon dimensions and depths, and underground utilities as-built locations, as designated by a SUE Quality Level “B”. The deliverables included electronic drawings in AutoCAD DWG format for the topographic and boundary surveys, and preparation of cross-section profiles.

Street Widening

This City of Conroe project required survey team expertise in performing project route surveys. The main objective of this project was the establishment of existing right-of-way lines along a half-mile section of road and, by utilizing a proposed right-of- way template (schematic) provided by the city, perform boundary surveys for the acquisition of twelve (12) parcels. The deliverables included parcel plats and legal descriptions for each of the twelve parcels, which were prepared in full compliance with the city CADD standards, and the project was completed on schedule. The project is now in the construction phase.

Business District Street Improvement

This Harris County Improvement District No. 1 (Uptown Houston) project began by establishing on the ground a network of control points reasonably permanent, substantial and protected against damage or destruction, all along the project limits. Boundary and topographic survey data, including subsurface utility information, was gathered and processed in order to produce a right-of-way map, acquisition documents and topographic / utility survey basemap for civil design electronic map in AutoCAD DWG format.
